Conveyancing

Property related transactions

What is conveyancing?

“Conveyancing” is the broad term used to describe the legal process for transactions relating to a property.  This can include any of the following:

  • Buying a property
  • Selling a property
  • Changing the names on the title
  • Granting of an encumbrance (e.g. a mortgage)
  • Remortgaging

These transactions are usually carried out by a Conveyancer, who specialises in this area of law.
